After all, it is named after him. OK, maybe calling a gadget the Jesus Phone is offensive to some, but it does perform miracles. In fact, its now the best workout partner you could ever want. Ipod, phone, internet, and now, workouts. With the App Store on Itunes, you can find free or fee based workout routines and fitness related apps and store them on your gadget. Want to walk through an upper body workout? Store it on your iPhone. Need to count calories? Do it with your phone.
Some we recommend:
FitReach- view your gym training for the day, diet and manage your weight goals.jayk
Iphone Fitness Tracking- Nike+ users rejoice!
Workout-helps to manage and control the interval training.
Fitsync- comprehensive storage. Helps track everything you do at the gym.
cityRunner- keeps track of all your runs, very easy to use.
There are a ton more and surely more in development. Check out the iTunes App store for the latest.
Did I mention you can win an iPhone from Gold’s? I think even Jesus would be into a free phone.

Are you kidding? The app store just comes out and you’re recommending non-native web apps?
Thanks, Jimmy. Remember, we are a health club, not CNET. Maybe instead of mocking us, you could do your part and suggest some apps. Just don’t ask for a raise when I name your our Tech Expert.
what’s wrong with web apps? you don’t need to take up storage on your device. The one that I recommend is Fitsync. My gym offers the FitSync program to all their members. My trainer uses it when she tracks my PT session and told me about it. I was using the Windows Mobile version to track when I work out on my own so she can keep an eye on me. Since I got my iPhone, I’ve been using the iPhone version. I only need to be online when I’m downloading my scheduled workout. I log everything offline so it doesn’t matter if the signal is not that good (and it saves on airtime charges). I can pick workouts from my trainer or the public libraries. now you got no more excuses jimmy

If you’re looking for a native app, I’ve just released “Workout Buddy” exercise tracker for the iPhone. Workout Buddy is a workout and exercise tracker that allows you to define your workouts, add exercises, sets, and reps, and count out those exercises. This app also keeps track of when you performed each exercise and workout, and when it’s time to do it again.
It’s available in the app store now: Workout Buddy exercise tracker
